Powerlink awarded Consolidated Power Projects a contract for the Calvale-to-Calliope River reinforcement in Queensland. CPP will build about 20 km of line, upgrade the Calliope River substation and oversee a 500 MVA transformer. The broader project includes 87 km of double-circuit 275 kV transmission and is designed to support up to 1,800 MW of renewable generation.

About 150 workers are forecast under CPP's scope, with 30% expected to be local. The project or development was cross-checked against the linked reporting and an additional source or official organization page. The summary uses the capacities, voltages, quantities, locations and status stated in those sources.

Where a project is still proposed, in bidding, under review or awaiting construction, it is described that way rather than as completed. Electrical scope is limited to equipment or systems directly reported, plus standard system components only when needed to explain the reported installation. Dates and schedules can change as permitting, procurement, engineering and field work progress.

The available reports describe the current milestone, not the entire project history. This article therefore focuses on the newly reported contract, award, commissioning, equipment announcement, training notice or development action. It does not assume future contracts, final costs or completion dates that the sources have not confirmed.

Technical ratings are presented in their reported units so readers can distinguish project scale.
