Vancouver Community College has launched new construction electrician training programs designed to respond to demand for skilled electrical workers in British Columbia. The programs expand post-secondary pathways into the electrical trade at a time when large infrastructure, housing, industrial and energy projects are increasing workforce requirements. Training capacity has become a significant issue throughout the construction industry as contractors compete for qualified electricians and other skilled trades. The new programs are intended to help build the pipeline of workers needed for current and future construction activity.
