Electrical Operations Manager Opportunity
A confidential electrical contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Operations Manager for its Virginia Beach, VA market. This opportunity is intended for a proven electrical construction professional who can take ownership of operations responsibilities while supporting safe execution, strong customer service, disciplined project controls, and profitable growth. The successful candidate will combine practical electrical construction knowledge with sound judgment, organization, communication, and leadership.
Experience
10+ years of progressive electrical construction leadership experience is preferred for senior operations roles.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for electrical construction operations, project execution, staffing, and financial performance.
- Oversee project teams and drive safety, quality, schedule, customer service, and profitability.
- Review forecasts, backlog, staffing, risk, cash flow, and operational priorities.
- Develop project managers, superintendents, and other leaders through coaching and accountability.
- Coordinate with estimating and preconstruction on pursuits, staffing, execution strategy, and risk.
- Build relationships with customers, general contractors, owners, and industry partners.
- Support strategic planning, annual budgets, market development, and organizational growth.
- Drive consistent operating procedures, performance standards, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Extensive electrical construction leadership experience appropriate for the position.
- Strong understanding of project management, field operations, estimating, contracts, and financial controls.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex projects or business units.
- Strong business judgment, communication, negotiation, and customer relationship skills.
- Complex commercial, industrial, institutional, or mission-critical experience is valuable.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience may be preferred.
