Electrical Business Development Manager Opportunity
A confidential electrical contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Business Development Manager for its Cincinnati, OH market. This opportunity is intended for a proven electrical construction professional who can take ownership of business responsibilities while supporting safe execution, strong customer service, disciplined project controls, and profitable growth. The successful candidate will combine practical electrical construction knowledge with sound judgment, organization, communication, and leadership.
Experience
5–10+ years of business development, sales, preconstruction, project management, or executive relationship experience in electrical construction is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, engineers, and strategic partners.
- Identify target projects, markets, customers, and upcoming electrical construction opportunities.
- Coordinate pursuit strategy with estimating, preconstruction, operations, and executive leadership.
- Maintain opportunity pipelines, customer intelligence, contact activity, and market information.
- Support presentations, interviews, proposals, networking events, and industry outreach.
- Position the contractor for negotiated, design-build, design-assist, and repeat-client opportunities.
- Track market trends, competitors, capital programs, and major construction activity.
- Strengthen existing accounts while developing new long-term customer relationships.
Qualifications
- Construction business development, sales, preconstruction, or relationship-management experience.
- Understanding of electrical construction and the commercial construction buying process.
- Established industry relationships in the local or regional market are beneficial.
- Strong presentation, networking, communication, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to collaborate with estimating and operations teams.
- CRM and opportunity-pipeline management experience is beneficial.
