Electrical Assistant Project Manager Opportunity
A confidential electrical contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Assistant Project Manager for its San Francisco, CA market. This opportunity is intended for a proven electrical construction professional who can take ownership of project management responsibilities while supporting safe execution, strong customer service, disciplined project controls, and profitable growth. The successful candidate will combine practical electrical construction knowledge with sound judgment, organization, communication, and leadership.
Experience
4–12+ years of electrical construction project management or project engineering experience is preferred, depending on position level.
Responsibilities
- Manage electrical scope, schedule, cost, procurement, documentation, and client commitments.
- Coordinate with field leadership, estimating, vendors, subcontractors, general contractors, and owners.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, forecasts, billing, and correspondence.
- Track project financial performance, committed costs, labor performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Support procurement of major equipment and long-lead materials.
- Lead project meetings and communicate action items.
- Support startup, commissioning, turnover, closeout, and lessons learned.
- Build productive customer and trade-partner relationships while protecting contractual requirements.
Qualifications
- Electrical construction project management experience appropriate for the position.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, contracts, schedules, and project controls.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders.
- Strong financial, organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Project management software experience is beneficial.
- Field or estimating experience is a plus.
