DVC Inaugurates 8-MW Ground-Mounted Solar Plant at Panchet

Damodar Valley Corporation inaugurated an 8 MW ground-mounted solar photovoltaic plant at Panchet.

Damodar Valley Corporation inaugurated an 8 MW ground-mounted solar photovoltaic plant at Panchet. Commissioning moves the project from construction into operation. The facility uses photovoltaic arrays with inverters, transformers, protection, metering, controls and grid-interconnection equipment.

DVC is adding solar generation to a portfolio historically associated with thermal, hydroelectric and transmission assets. The project or development was cross-checked against the linked reporting and an additional source or official organization page. The summary uses the capacities, voltages, quantities, locations and status stated in those sources.

Where a project is still proposed, in bidding, under review or awaiting construction, it is described that way rather than as completed. Electrical scope is limited to equipment or systems directly reported, plus standard system components only when needed to explain the reported installation. Dates and schedules can change as permitting, procurement, engineering and field work progress.

The available reports describe the current milestone, not the entire project history. This article therefore focuses on the newly reported contract, award, commissioning, equipment announcement, training notice or development action. It does not assume future contracts, final costs or completion dates that the sources have not confirmed.

Technical ratings are presented in their reported units so readers can distinguish project scale.
