Electrical Procurement Manager Opportunity
A confidential electrical contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Procurement Manager for its Lincoln, NE market. This opportunity is intended for a proven electrical construction professional who can take ownership of procurement responsibilities while supporting safe execution, strong customer service, disciplined project controls, and profitable growth. The successful candidate will combine practical electrical construction knowledge with sound judgment, organization, communication, and leadership.
Experience
4–10+ years of electrical construction procurement, purchasing, supply-chain, estimating, or project management experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Source and purchase electrical materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor quotations, lead times, commercial terms, and scope compliance.
- Coordinate switchgear, transformers, generators, lighting, wire, cable, and other major packages.
- Maintain buyout logs, purchase orders, delivery schedules, and procurement reporting.
- Validate budgets, quantities, substitutions, and approved manufacturers with project teams.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, freight, escalation exposure, and delivery commitments.
- Identify supply-chain risks and develop alternate sourcing strategies.
- Maintain supplier relationships and support closeout.
Qualifications
- Electrical construction purchasing, procurement, estimating, or related experience.
- Strong knowledge of electrical materials, equipment, manufacturers, and distribution channels.
- Ability to analyze quotations, specifications, commercial terms, and delivery requirements.
- Strong negotiation, organization, communication, and documentation skills.
- ERP or purchasing system experience is beneficial.
- Long-lead electrical equipment procurement knowledge is highly valuable.
